The Accountant is a movie released in 2016. As the name suggests the plot of the movie revolves around an accountant. The genre of the movie is a crime thriller. Although the film bagged mixed reviews, a sequel of the film was announced and is now in the making. The storyline of the film is based on the life of a freelance accountant that discovers severe discrepancies in the accounts of the company for whom he provides his financial advising services. This movie can grip the attention of the audience through powerful dialogues and great cinematography that does justice to the portrayal of the life of an accountant. It can be plainly stated that this movie is sure to impress any accountant in London.

Plot and Storyline:

The main protagonist of the film is the character named Christian Wolff who is played by Ben Affleck. During his childhood, he is diagnosed as being autistic, but his father does not lose hope in him. The father is not ready to give up on his son and starts educating him and training him in martial arts. It is soon discovered that despite his autism, Christian Wolff has impressive capabilities.

With his education and support from his father, Christain Wolff learns to stand up for himself and finally becomes a great forensic accountant. He begins working for a company as an accountant when the extent of discrepancies in the company’s records is revealed. But the company he works for is no ordinary business. The rest of the movie revolves around his role and how he tackles the issue presented.

Funny Moments:

The film, despite its serious subject, does not fail to grab the audience's attention. A great credit to the movie is how the scenes are put together and compiled. You will see a father’s love, and they thrive on doing more, the courage to stand up against all evils, happiness, hope, sorrow and many more emotions in the best and most raw form through the lens of the camera in this movie. To lighten up the scenes and keep the audience entertained during the movie, some funny moments are also put together that brings out a lighter side for the movie. • Tax Scene:

In one particular scene during the movie, a farmer and his wife visit Christian and seem to be very worried as they are unable to afford to pay the taxes for the year. The farmer’s wife casually mentions that she makes beaded necklaces and sells them at the local store. Christian, though his intellect and amazing cognitive skills put together a way for reducing their payable taxes by declaring the necklace making as a company business thus helping the farmer and his wife.

• Data Analysis Scene:

Christian Wolff is handed the responsibility of performing data analysis for a robotics company. The time is late at night and Christian heads to the conference room to present the data analysis. He goes through the files himself and takes into account every expense. He starts running out of markers. When the space on the whiteboard is finished, he proceeds to write on the glass doors of the conference room. The scene is funny because of Christian’s agitation and the way he performs the analysis. In reality, the view is a humorous depiction of his dedication for his work. The passion of not giving up and complete the assigned task to the best of the capabilities.
